What is Chiropractic?

The term Chiropractic is derived from Greek, meaning “done by hand.” Chiropractic treatments involve gentle hand movements known as adjustments to correct mechanical dysfunction of the joints, corresponding muscles, and their effects on the Peripheral Nervous System.

The profession follows traditional philosophies professing the body has the capability of healing itself without the use of drugs and/or surgeries. The Doctor of Chiropractic applies specific techniques to facilitate this self-healing process.

Is Chiropractic safe?

Chiropractic is widely recognized as one of the safest drug-free, non-invasive therapies available for treatments of neuromusculoskeletal conditions. These conditions include Sciatica, Headaches and Migraines, Spinal Disk Herniation/Bulge/Displacement, as well as Neck and Low-Back Sprains and Strains. No health treatment is completely free of potential adverse affects; however, chiropractic maintains a strong safety record.

How does Chiropractic help with pain?

Inappropriately positioned spinal curvatures will exert excessive pressure on the spinal discs and nerves while pulling on the connected tissues including skeletal muscles. These circumstances cause various degrees and types of pain. Correcting the spinal curvatures helps restore appropriate spinal weight-bearing, which will relieve the connected structures of excessive pressure/strain and reduce pain.

How does Chiropractic help my posture?

The Adjustments administered to the spine help restore correct positioning of the spinal curvatures improving your posture.

Will I sustain the changes to my pain and posture?

The effects of chiropractic care are long-standing. The conditions managed correctly through both patient compliance and appropriate care can expect to curb, arrest, and even reverse pathological conditions of the spine. Although monitoring of your progress is preferred, many patients sustain the therapeutic benefits months and years after treatment.

How will chiropractic help me reach my fullest potential?

By improving your spinal health, you can perform your activities with less pain and increased flexibility. Whether you play a musical instrument, sit, stand, study or travel for long hours, we can help you enjoy your daily moments and comfortably live up to your fullest potential!
